Helping a Family with Young Children

A letter from a family in our community:

"We received another food card in the mail today. We would like to extend our gratitude to the JSS committee.

We never imagined how severe and how long this hardship would be for our family. The help we received is beyond measure....we pray that we too will be in a position to do such beautiful work in this work.

My husband's disability has been denied. And social services said that because of my part time job we are ineligible for cash assistance. The fact that I work disqualifies us. We sit here on New Year's eve with less than a dollar, bills piling, yet so much INSPIRATION because of the mail we received today. To you it's groceries, but to us it's another way to keep our children healthy. This is all that matters to us...

We do not know how else to express our continued gratitude but to just tell you. We thank G-d for you all and pray your lives are full of health, love, and happiness.
